Modern keys carry a chip that tells the car it is allowed to run. A remote start has to satisfy that check without the key in the ignition. A bypass module, or a digital system with an integrated data interface, does that safely.
We select, flash and program the right interface for your vehicle and test the full behavior, including the safety shutdowns.
Bypass module versus integrated interface
A traditional bypass module is an extra box added to the install. Viper’s digital systems include an integrated, programmable CAN interface, which handles bypass and override on many compatible vehicles and reduces the number of extra boxes.
T-harnesses are vehicle-specific plug-in harnesses that help simplify the wiring on compatible vehicles.
Programming matters
The interface has to be flashed with the right firmware for your vehicle. A wrong firmware setting can cause the car to stall, set a warning light or refuse to start.
